Buddy Up Triathlon or Duathlon (Short Course only)
The age limit for the PhysioMed Women's Triathlon and Duathlon is 13yrs but we know many of our young girls between 10 and 13 are capable, enthusiastic and want to take part in triathlon or duathlon. The Buddy Up Category is for 10-13yr olds to be accompanied at all times during the event by a female adult "Buddy" This ensures their safety on the road and is a great challenge for you both.
- You both have the same event number
- Buddy Up is for short course only
- Entry fee for the Buddy Up category is $50 (Same as individual)
- You stay together at all times during the event
New Mum's Triathlon or Duathlon
If your baby was born in the past 18 months then this is for you. Swim/Bike then take your baby in the buggy on the final run/walk. There will be a space in transition for your support crew to be waiting with baby and buggy for you.
Teams
If you feel that the completing the whole course is a bit daunting or you are not quite up to the distance in your fitness journey, don't stay away, join up with a family member or a friend or a work mate and put a team in the Triathlon or Duathlon.
- Your team can be 2 or 3 wonderful ladies eg: For triathlon 1st team member swims, 2nd team member bikes, 3rd team member run/walks (or one person can do two parts). Or for duathlon 1st team member run/walks, 2nd team member bikes.
- Open Family or Corporate Team option

Minimum Age
The minimum age for taking part in either the long or short distance is 13 years. If you have a capable 10-13 year old that would like to take part, enter her in the Buddy Up section and support her on course.
