PhysioMed Women's Triathlon & Duathlon Series

Event 3 - 29th Jan 2012

Congratulations to all for being at Dudley Park for the final event of the series.  The weather man had promised us a fine sunny day but that was not the case!! The headwind and cool temperatures tested everyone today.  The smiles at the finish line made up for the lack of sunshine tho.

Another fantastic day at Dudley Park! Congratulations to all who took part. The sunshine and warm weather brought out many noisy supporters and so many yummy picnics.

Group Training
If you are lacking in motivation make a commitment to yourself to come along at any time to some of our group training.  It is so much easier to exercise and train with others, share knowledge and advice, have a laugh and just have a break from your normal routines (and of course coffee and cake after). Our aim for these groups is to create a supportive training environment for woman at any fitness level.  Do not stay away because you think you are not fit enough.  We all start somewhere and the culture of all our groups is to support and encourage each other.  Each group has beginners groups.  We split into groups depending on your fitness and ability.

This week's sessions summary:

Swimming: Wharenui Pool:
Wed1st Feb at 8pm
Can't swim, can swim - come along and get wet and have some fun. Technique and training.  All levels welcome.

Run/Walk: Hagley Park - Thurs 2nd Feb 6pm
- Week Group run and walk. Meet in the car park off Riccarton Ave beside the tennis courts.

Biking: Princess Margaret Hospital Car Park - Sat 4th Feb 8:30am - All levels, all types of bikes welcome.
 

Every Saturday at 12 mid-day..

Personal Trainers in Christchurch have again banded together and will be running a FREE hour of exercise every Saturday from mid day till 1pm. 

These sessions are structured so that everyone of any fitness level can take part.

Bring your partners, husbands, family, friends and neighbours and join in the fun.

When: Every Saturday from January till May
Where: Hagley Park, on the crn of Park Tce and Harper Ave.  On the park side of the trees.
Time: Mid-day - 1pm

23/10/11: Avanti Questa Road Bike
Maroon and White 2010 model.  Small frame, suit around 5' - 5'4" female. Shimano 105 componentry. Includes 2 bottle cages, speedo and pump.  Never been crashed.  In excellent condition.  Great bike to ride, only selling to replace with new model.  New price was $3200. Sell for $1800.
