Event Day Checklist

One of your worst nightmares......Getting to the event and finding that you have left something vital at home……..!!!!!
 
Pre-event   
                                                       
Recommended    
  warm clothing
  drink bottle (for pre-event hydration)
  toilet paper (there’s nothing worse than finding the toilet has run out!)
  vaseline (apply to prevent chafing of crotch, nipples and underarms)
Optional    
  pre-race snacks / energy food (only if you are used to eating and are used to the food you take)
   
Swim    
Recommended    
  swimsuit or tri shorts and tri top or tri one piece suit
  goggles
  swim cap
  towel (for drying and/or standing on in transition)
   
Cycle    
Recommended    
  bike (you would not be the first person to forget it!!!!)
  helmet
  cycling shoes (if using them) – or running shoes
  sunglasses
  water bottle (filled with water or energy drink – again only if you are used to drinking them) 
Optional    
  T shirt or cycle top (to put over swimsuit)
  lycra shorts without padding if you are wearing swimsuit in swim
  socks
  cycling gloves
  spare tube and tyre levers
  bike pump
  sunscreen
   
Run    
Recommended    
  running shoes
  cap
  sunglasses
Optional      
  running top & shorts (or stay in clothes you biked in)
  small drink bottle (there will be drinks at halfway around the run)
   
Miscellaneous    
  watch (to time yourself or make sure you get to the start on time!)
  toolkit
  fluid replacement drink
  picnic lunch

Remember, have fun and enjoy the event, the only person you have to prove anything to is you.
