The Event Objective

The series began in 1992 with an objective to encourage women of any fitness level, ability or age to take on the personal challenge of setting a goal, training and experiencing the thrill of completing a triathlon or duathlon. This is our passion and mission.

Why a Series?

One event is a challenge, but we love challenges so Event 1 gets you going, Event 2 and Event 3 increase in distance with a month in between each one to keep you training! 

You do not have to take part in all three events, you may enter any one of the events individually - but if you enter and take part in the series there are added benefits for series entrants only:

  1. A certificate with each event time and placing.
  2. At each event points are awarded based on (a) your overall finishing place in triathlon or duathlon and (b) your finishing place in your age group category. At the finish of the third event these points are totalled and medals and trophies are presented to the first three place winners of overall triathlon and duathlon and each age group category.
  3. A major spot prizes draw including a Road bike from Fleet Cycles (valued at approx $1200), running packages, gym memberships and much more.

The PhysioMed Women’s Series is unique

We recognize that not everyone wants to or can run so we have a separate run and walk section. click here for event entry details and on line or print entry form

Although the series is about you challenging yourself we celebrate and recognise the first  three places in each Triathlon/Duathlon, Run/Walk and 10 year age group. 

Each event prize giving has a fantastic array of spot prizes from our event partners

The PhysioMed Series is not just about organising three events, it is about an all year around lifestyle of encouraging women to keep active, enjoy training, making amazing friendships, achieving goals, taking on other events, learning and so much more. 

To achieve this we have:

Training groups: that are for everyone - it does not matter what your fitness level is, what age you are these groups will encourage you to get active and stay active..  Join us at our weekly  swim run walk  cycling  groups.  We ignore the winter and keep going all year around!

Seminars: keep an eye on the home page and newsletters for details.
